Ventures

Where curiosity becomes action.

My professional life today brings together different forms of involvement: investing through Medelion Partners, working personally with businesses through Advisory, contributing to selected Boards and collaborations, and continuing to explore ideas of my own.

They are not all “ventures” in the corporate sense. What connects them is the decision to get involved where I believe experience, capital, relationships or perspective can help something worthwhile move forward.

Different forms of involvement. The same curiosity about what could be built next.

Invest

Beyond the transaction.

As Co-Founder of Medelion Partners, I work alongside my fellow partners and other investors to back established SMEs and family businesses with strong foundations and room to grow.

We bring together capital, executive experience and active ownership, particularly around succession, professionalisation and new stages of development.

For me, investing is not only about identifying an attractive company. It is also about taking responsibility for the risks we accept and the work that follows once the transaction is complete.

Advise

From ambition to execution.

I work personally with founders, CEOs and Boards when growth or transformation has made the next decisions more complex.

That may mean helping a startup become a more disciplined scale-up, supporting an established business through change, or providing an experienced, independent perspective when there is a great deal to decide and not much appetite for another theoretical presentation.

The objective is practical: create progress, strengthen internal capability and eventually make my involvement unnecessary.

Collaborate

Some opportunities don’t fit into boxes.

Not every interesting challenge needs to become an investment or a formal advisory mandate. I remain open to Board roles, entrepreneurial ventures, mentoring, partnerships and selected projects where the people are interesting, the idea has substance and I believe I can genuinely contribute.

A career spent crossing industries, roles and countries has made me comfortable with opportunities that do not arrive in the expected packaging.

I therefore leave deliberate room for the unexpected.

Engage

Ideas grow through conversation.

Some of the most valuable ideas emerge when different perspectives meet. I enjoy contributing to roundtables, panels, entrepreneurial communities and smaller forums where experience can be shared openly and assumptions challenged.

That exchange has also taken me into education. For six years, I collaborated with ESADE’s CEMS Master’s programme, working with international student teams on real business challenges.

What interests me is not speaking at an audience, but engaging with it.

Explore

Staying curious. Staying in motion.

Exploration has always been one of the ways I learn. Having lived in four countries, worked across cultures and borders and now calling Cyprus home, I continue learning languages because each one opens a different way into a culture — and, above all, into its people.

That same curiosity keeps me moving. I cross countries by bicycle, slowly enough to notice the places and meet the people I would otherwise pass by. And I am beginning to explore how travelling by motorcycle might take me further.

I am also developing Gabo World, a new children’s publishing venture bringing together storytelling, travel, cultures and discovery. Building something unfamiliar puts me back into learning mode — exactly where I like to be from time to time.

Languages teach me to listen. Travel teaches me adaptability. New ventures teach me humility. And people teach me almost everything else.

Explore further

Different ventures. One underlying drive.

Some become businesses. Some investments. Some collaborations. Others simply change the way I see the world. All of them keep me moving forward.

Potential. People. Possibility.
